I make my living off the internet. I have since 2003. Dreamweaver has been a big part of what I do. I have coded hundreds of sites using Dreamweaver 8.

While at church a couple of months ago, a guy who was quite a bit older than I was came to me and told me he had bought CS4 and was putting up websites. I realized then that I needed to upgrade. I couldn’t be beat down by this guy.

When I bought the upgrade, I figured I had the weekend and would learn all I could. When I installed it, got it running, it was like something brand new. I understood the basics, but wanted to do something bigger and better than I ever had before.  That is probably the biggest benefit. I taught myself how to use DW 8, but with CS4, there is so much more to learn, and there are so many cool things that I completely missed before.

The reason I started this site was because I knew that most people were like me and you could either keep struggling, or buck up and go through the tutorials. One of the other cool benefits is that my daughter has been learning Dreamweaver as well watching the same videos. She has an entrepeurial spirit and wants to create sites for herself and hope to make a few bucks along the way.

So, with your DW CS4 loaded, work your way through the tutorials, get some web hosting, and launch your site!

BTW, one of the things you will find on this site is a recommendation now and then to some video tutorials, webmaster tools, and other resources.  I’m trying to build a site that you can use as a resource and a review of some of the stuff out there.
